GRUPO FRONTERA ANNOUNCES THEIR INTERNATIONAL TOUR “TRISTE PERO BIEN C*BRÓN”
The Latin GRAMMY®-winning group is taking their new album “Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar” to South America, Central America, Mexico, and Europe.
After a historic year marked by accolades and career-defining moments, Latin GRAMMY®-winning Grupo Frontera announces their highly anticipated international tour, “Triste Pero Bien C*brón Tour,” marking their return to the stage after their last tour in 2023. This new tour will bring their sound to stages across South America, Central America, Mexico, and Europe, marking a new stage in their global expansion. In Chile, Grupo Frontera will perform on October 15 at Movistar Arena.
The tour is part of the group’s new era following the release of their third studio album, “Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar,” a project that fuses vulnerability, energy, and the unmistakable norteño-cumbia sound that has made them one of the most beloved and influential groups in the regional Mexican music movement.
Inspired by the emotional irony of their song “Triste Pero Bien Cabrón” with Puerto Rican artist Myke Towers, the tour announcement comes with a video that reflects the central contrast of this new stage: sadness, catharsis, and celebration. With the humor and authenticity that characterize the group, the clip shows Mexican actor and producer Luis Gerardo Mendez—known for series and films like Club de Cuervos and Nosotros los Nobles—going through an emotionally chaotic day that, underscored by Frontera’s music, ultimately becomes an invitation to get up, heal, and enjoy life. A perfect nod to the spirit of the “Triste Pero Bien Cabrón Tour.”
The announcement comes after a historic year for Grupo Frontera, marked by major milestones and international recognition. This month, the group made history by becoming the first regional Mexican group to perform at Nashville’s legendary Grand Ole Opry, in addition to receiving two GRAMMY® nominations for their EPs “Mala Mía” (with Fuerza Regida) and “Y Lo Que Viene,” and eight nominations for the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Their performance at the 2025 Latin GRAMMYs reaffirmed their position as one of the most influential groups in the genre, with nominations in the Best Regional Mexican Song categories for “Hecha Pa’ Mí” and “Me Jalo” with Fuerza Regida. The night was also marked by two memorable moments: a powerful tribute to the legendary GRAMMY-winning guitarist Carlos Santana, where Grupo Frontera shared the stage with Maluma and Christian Nodal to perform a medley of classics such as “Corazón Espinado” and “Oye Cómo Va,” culminating in the first live performance of “Me Retiro,” their most recent collaboration with Santana. The second highlight was their energetic performance alongside Fuerza Regida, singing their hit song “Me Jalo.”
With the “Triste Pero Bien C*brón Tour,” Grupo Frontera opens a new chapter in their career, bringing their sound and energy to new audiences around the world. After conquering stages in the United States and accumulating billions of global streams, the group consolidates its international expansion and reaffirms its role as one of the most representative voices of modern regional Mexican music.
